London Nishang Dance Troupe (LNDT)

Established in 2007, the London Nishan Dance Troupe (LNDT) is devoted to promote, support and develop dance and dancers principally of Chinese and East Asian roots in the UK and beyond. We welcome dancers (not necessarily Chinese in origin) in London or nearby who are passionate about dance and have a certain level of training to join our exciting projects.

Aim and objectives:

The aim of LNDT is to foster and develop a quality dance troupe to promote the practice and appreciation of Chinese and East Asian dance arts in Britain. Specifically, the main objectives are:  

•  To learn, practice and perform traditional dances and repertories

•  To develop cotemporary and new dance works

•  To engage in educational and school dance projects

•  To encourage creative and cross-cultural dance activities

What Does LNDT Offer?

We currently offer the following solo, trio and group dances and educational works:

•  Folk Dance -- Ribbon, Fan, Handkerchief, Peacock, Dai ethnic dances and more….

•  Classical Dance -- Nishang Rainbow Feather Dance, Water Sleeve dance and more…

•  Dance teaching and workshops -- Out-reach to all communities, Workshops at many levels
